What’s in a Home Information Pack?

Please see below the contents of the Home Information Pack as published by the CLG.

 

Compulsory Documents “Required”

These must be included in the pack where appropriate:

  • Home Information Pack Index (i.e. a list of the contents of the pack)

  • An Energy Performance Certificate
  • A sale statement (summarising terms of sale)
  • Standard searches (i.e local authority enquiries and a drainage and water search)
  • Evidence of title
  • Additional information for leasehold and commonhold sales, where appropriate.
     

Optional documents “Authorised”
These may be included at the seller’s discretion:
 

  • A Home Condition Report
  • Legal Summary
  • Home use/contents forms
  • Other Documents
